The Swedish Krona traded lower against the euro on Monday, as Sweden's ruling center-right coalition led by Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt was beaten by opposition Social Democrat party in the 2014 parliamentary election on Sunday.
The results showed that the Social Democrat-led bloc won 43.7 percent of the vote, while the ruling centre-right coalition, led by the Moderate Party, gained 39.3 percent.
Since the center-left alliance failed to secure an absolute majority in the Parliament, it would have to reach out to other parties to form a government.
The Swedish Krona declined to 9.2727 against the euro for the first time since July 21. The Krona is likely to find support around the 9.3 area. The pair was valued at 9.2411 at last week's close.
