Native plant forum: The Redlands Sustainability Network, in cooperation with Inland Empire Resources Conservation District and Wild California, will hold a forum on growing native drought-tolerant plants 3 to 5 p.m. at Redlands United Church of Christ, 168 Bellevue Ave., Redlands. At 3 p.m. Linda Richards of Redlands will tell her story of converting her lawn into a drought-tolerant landscape, using California native plants. Cemetery tour: The Redlands Area Historical Society holds its sixth annual walking tour of Hillside Memorial Park, Redlands’ cemetery, at 4 p.m. Cost is a $10 donation to the historical society. The cemetery is at 1540 Alessandro Road, and the tour will begin at the 1928 Egyptian Mausoleum, which is near the Sunset Drive entrance and the cemetery office.

Redlands Symphony: The Redlands Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Jon Robertson, presents a concert at 8 p.m. in the University of Redlands Memorial Chapel. Children’s gardening classes: Garden Works for Kids, a nonprofit children’s instructional gardening studio at 35268 Yucaipa Blvd., Suite B, Yucaipa, offers garden fundamentals classes to the public, for children ages 3 to 7, the second Saturday of the month. Classses are 9 to 11 a.m. and 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. Classes include in-studio learning time, videos, making a craft, potting a plant, an instructional walk through the garden and a snack. Cost is $8, and reservations are required at 909-838-9430.

CPR and first aid: CPR and first aid classes are offered the second Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Redlands Community Center, 111 W. Lugonia Ave. Classes are offered by Emergency Life Saving Services. Cost is $50, including materials and cards. The class includes certification by the American Heart Association and ELSS First Aid.
