Welcome to 411’s WWE Smackdown Report 10.24.14

Show Opening Promo: Dean kicked off the show, and we got some video from the angle on Raw with he, Rollins and Foley. He doesn’t feel that the laws of physics apply to him, because he keeps getting knocked down and then keeps getting back up. He listed the things the Authority have done to him, and admits that dealing with them can be painful. But he’s no Mick Foley, because Foley is a nice guy deep down. Ambrose doesn’t have a family to go home to, he simply has the thirst for vengeance and he will get that at Hell in a Cell. On Sunday, Rollins will realize that money does you no good when you’re stuck in hell. He called out Rollins, who then appeared on the big screen. Rollins says that Ambrose has never and will never tell him what to do. He then mocked Ambrose for taking everything he told him to heart why they were together, and added “believe in that”. The Shield was never special, Rollins was the one that was special. He looked at it as a stepping-stone and said that Ambrose’s vengeance wasn’t worth a damn, because the future is priceless. Rollins says that he future will begin when he finishes Ambrose at Hell in a Cell and he goes on to cash in his title shot. Ambrose closed by saying that he doesn’t care if Hell in a Cell is his last night, because he will make sure that Rollins burns alone.

The Miz and Damien Sandow vs. Los Matadores w/Torito: Sheamus us out on commentary. Sandow in to begin, sent to the corner and a head scissor from a Matadore. Sandow takes him to the corner, tags in Miz but the Matadore lands chops and then a kick. Miz then stuns him off the ropes and mocks Sheamus by doing the 10 beats. Miz then slams him into the ring as Sheamus mocks at how weak Miz is. Tag to Sandow, rights to the Matadore. Off the ropes, the Matadore trips up Sandow and then crawls for the tag. He gets it, they say it’s Fernando but I don’t buy it. He runs wild on Miz, heads up top and hits a senton dive onto a standing Miz and gets 2. Sandow in to break that up, but the other Matadore sends him to the floor. Miz in the ring gets a figure four on a Matadore, as Sandow gets the same hold on the other on the floor and that is all.

OFFICIAL RESULT: The Miz and Damien Sandow @ 2:55 via submission

* We have a backstage segment with Goldust and Stardust. Bo Dallas interrupted, and noted that the brothers do hold the cosmic key, but that all they had to do to win their six-man match tonight was to “Bo-Lieve”. Goldust called him weirdo.

Non-Title Match: AJ Lee © vs. Alicia Fox w/Paige: Lock up to begin, AJ looks to work the arm but Fox stops that. Off the ropes and a head scissors by AJ follows. Fox then slaps the piss out of her. AJ applies a hanging guillotine, but Fox slams her to the corner and then hits a northern lights suplex and that gets 2. Fox works the side headlock and then slams her down. Fox then takes her to the ropes and chokes her out as Paige yells at her. AJ counters a body slam, and then runs Fox into Paige (who was on the apron) and gets the roll up for the win.

OFFICIAL RESULT: AJ Lee @ 2:13 via pin

* We get another Wyatt Family video.

* Big Show did a sitdown interview with Michael Cole. Show wanted the interview time so that he could discuss what Rusev did on Raw. Show said that the soldier was doing his job, protecting the flag. But the real issue was that after security had stopped the soldier, and that is when Rusev attacked. Cole brought up the fact that Show ripped down the Russian flag, and Show said that he apologized to the Russian fans for that. He only wanted to disrespect two people, and what he did was wrong. We got some B-roll of Show’s interaction with the troops over the years. Show added that the US Troops are his heroes. When asked about Hulk Hogan saying that the only way that Show will lose is that he beats himself, he admits to being an emotional guy and that when he hears the sounds of the fans chanting USA, that is all he’ll need to win. He won’t keep his emotions in check, he’ll let the rage out and then knockout Rusev.

IC Title Match: Dolph Ziggler © vs. Cesaro: And here we go with tonight’s IC Title match. Both work for position early, some mat wrestling follows and then they go to the ropes. Knee to the gut by Cesaro, shoots Ziggler to the corner and gets a monkey flip. Ziggler lands on his feet though and then gets a hip toss. Sunset flip by Ziggler gets 2, they do the old Independent pinning combo exchange for a bit and everyone claps. Cesaro shoots Ziggler to the steel post, and he falls to the mat and is holding his shoulder.

Back from commercial and Cesaro works the sleeper. Ziggler tries to battle back to his feet, but Cesaro pulls him back down with some help from the tights. Ziggler again gets to his feet, escapes and then gets a sleeper of his own. Cesaro escapes, Ziggler grabs it again but then another escape by Cesaro. Ziggler connects with clotheslines, and then the elbow drop connects. Ziggler shoots off the ropes for the fameasser, Cesaro snags him up and looks for a powerbomb, Ziggler tries a RANA, fails but then gets a sunset flip for 2. Tilt a whirl into a sleeper by Ziggler follow, Cesaro slams him to the corner to break it up, and then counters that into a vertical suplex and Cesaro covers for 2. Both men fight to their feet, and Cesaro counters the DDT try into a flapjack style slam and covers for 2. Ziggler with a roll up gets 2, and then runs into a big boot and Cesaro covers for 2. Powerbomb by Cesaro connects and the cover gets 2. Cesaro stalks Ziggler, and now looks for the swing. As he does, Ziggler gets a roll up for 2. Ziggler tries the superkick, countered, Cesaro looks for the European uppercut, but Ziggler counters that into the zigzag for the pin.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Dolph Ziggler @ 10:15 via pin

Nikki Bella, Summer Rae and Cameron vs. Natalya, Naomi and Brie Bella: Brie and Cameron to begin. Lock up, go behind by Cameron follow. Brie shoots her off the ropes, tries the hip toss but Cameron counters that. Knee to the gut by Brie, leg on the back of the head into the backflip counter, but Cameron then levels her with a clothesline as the heel ladies do the YES chants to mock her. Tag to Summer as Cameron chokes out Brie. A clothesline follows and Summer covers for 2. Brie fights back on Summer and Cameron, gets distracted by Summer who then kicks her in the face. Brie lands a dropkick, but the heels pull her partners to the floor so she has no one to tag. Summer hits a spin kick and Nikki then tags herself in. She hits the rack drop and that is all.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Nikki Bella, Summer Rae and Cameron @ 1:57 via pin

* We get the HIAC by the numbers video.

* Hulk Hogan will be live on Raw this week.

Bo Dallas, Goldust and Stardust vs. Mark Henry and The Usos (Jimmy and Jey): Henry in to begin, he chases after Dallas who drops to the floor. Stardust and Jey will now start. Stardust off the ropes, hip toss follow. Head butt by Jey, tag to Jimmy and Stardust cuts him off with a knee to the gut and tags in Goldust. Jimmy with the backdrop to Goldust and he goes to the floor. They toss Stardust as well and then Henry chases Dallas to the floor…

Back from commercial as Stardust is in control, working over Jey. Goldust tags in, elbow drops to Jey follow and Goldust covers for 2. Goldust grounds Jey with a headlock, making him fight all the way back to his feet. Jey takes out Stardust and Dallas, and then hits an Enziguri to Goldust. He looks for the tag, and gets it. Henry in and takes out Dallas with a clothesline and boot. He tosses Goldust to the floor, catches Stardust and tosses him up and he eats a superkick. Dive by an Uso follows, the other one gets taken out by Stardust. Henry and Dallas left in the ring, Stardust tries to get involved but eats the world’s strongest slam. That allows Dallas enough time to sneak up behind Henry and hit the bo-dog for the win.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Bo Dallas, Goldust and Stardust @ 6:24 via pin

* Renee Young interviewed Dolph Ziggler backstage. Cesaro interrupted, and said that Ziggler got lucky tonight. He said that they were fighting for the most prestigious title in the WWE, and challenged Ziggler to a 2of 3 falls match at Sunday’s PPV. Ziggler agreed.

Main Event Interview Time: Rollins made his way to the ring with Noble and Mercury. There were tables with weapons (chairs, chains, screw drivers, hammers and all kinds of fun stuff), and Rollins said that Ambrose was not the only one with a bag of tricks. Rollins taught Ambrose everything he knows. Rollins was born a winner, which is why he will win on Sunday. He’s a student of the game, and understands that once the cell door shuts that the only rule is that there are no rules. Rollins went through the weapons, noting thing like Ambrose is always a screw up and grabbed the screwdriver, and then called out Ambrose. Ambrose didn’t come out, and Rollins said that maybe Ambrose is smarter than he thought, but added that Ambrose was afraid. Rollins said that his future is bright, while Ambrose’s is on a ride straight to hell. Rollins had them show the footage from the end of Raw, where he stood victoriously on top of the cell. When we came back from the footage, Ambrose was behind him in the ring. They brawled, Ambrose used a kendo stick and the new Stooges got involved. They allowed Rollins to get away, so he took out Noble with the lariat and then hit the new dirty deeds (double underhook DDT) on Mercury. He then laid Mercury out on the table and hit the top rope elbow on him. The crowd wanted another, so poor Noble got one as well. Sharing is caring. Rollins stared down with Ambrose from the stage to end the show.

* End scene.

* Thanks for reading.
