Life in Christ Circus Clown Training, 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m., Dec. 2, Trinity Lutheran Church, 511 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg. Christ Clown College is taking applications for anyone interested in Christian clowning. This is a 15-week course beginning Dec. 2, 2014. Classes will be taught by Pastor Brent Cavendish (Willy Nilly). Pastor Brent is a graduate of the "Life in Christ Circus" of Omaha, NE and a graduate of the Red Skelton Clown School of Vincennes, Indiana. The course will cover the basics of juggling, makeup, clown magic, balloon artistry, skit writing and performing. Students and community members present traditional Indonesian music on Earlham's central Javanese bronze gamelan. A gamelan is a large set of melodic percussion instruments led by drums that can also include a bowed lute, a plucked zither, a bamboo flute and singers. Christmas Candlelight Service, 8 p.m., Dec. 15, Stout Meetinghouse, Earlham College, 801 National Road West (for the college), Richmond. Earlham's Christmas Candlelight Service is a beautiful combination of scripture readings, congregational carols and Concert Choir selections. The service concludes with everyone lighting candles and luminaria around the Heart. Following the service, everyone is invited to Earlham Hall lobby for cookies and hot chocolate. Free.

DIY Snow Globes for teens, 3:30 p.m., Dec. 16, Preble County District Library: Eaton Branch, 301 N Barron St, Eaton. Eaton Teens Grades 6-12, make DIY Snowglobes! If you attend the Super Smash Brothers Brawl Tournament on 12/9/14, you can use polymer clay to create a creature for your snow globe and Christina will take it home and bake it in advance for this program. If you can only make it to the DIY Snowglobes on 12/16/14 have no fear, we'll have other supplies for the center of your Snowglobes!
