FREEDOM 5K: 8 a.m., Ft. Randolph Historic Site, 135 Riverfront St. Pineville. You can walk or run in this event. This is a color run which means that colored powder will be thrown at you as you walk or run in certain areas. Proceeds benefit the veterans' organization Team Red, White and Blue.

EASTER EGG HUNT: 10 a.m., Alexandria City Park. Kids ages 4-12 can join in the fun for 7,000 eggs filled with candy and toys. There will also be special "golden eggs," filled with a special surprise. Be sure to bring your own basket or bag.

AN EVENING OF MUSIC AND PRAISE TO BENEFIT ARTS & HEALTHCARE, INC.: 6:30 p.m., Coughlin-Saunders Performing Arts Center. Performing at this event will be Octavia, Josh Blakesley, DC Sills, SOR and Bros 4. General admission tickets are $15 if purchased in advance. They will be $20 at the door.
