Euro Falls 3rd Day as Greek Financial-Aid Deal Remains Elusive

The euro fell for a third day on speculation European finance ministers meeting in Brussels are far from an agreement to bail out Greece and preserve the currency union.

The single currency extended its longest slide in more than two weeks as officials indicated Greece needs to do more before funds can be released, even as the meeting’s chairman said “we are making faster progress.” The euro has declined from a 2 1/2-month high reached last week, when soaring bond yields fueled demand for the currency.
