Auckland VIPs Celebrate First H&M New Zealand Store

AUCKLAND VIPS CELEBRATE FIRST H&M NEW ZEALAND STORE

Last night, Thursday 29th September 2016, H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB (H&M) unveiled its first New Zealand store, located at Sylvia Park Shopping Centre with an exclusive VIP launch event, ahead of the official public opening tomorrow October 1st.

The highly anticipated event hosted more than 600 guests including local celebrities, media and fashion influencers. Notable faces on the red carpet included, Jaime Ridge, Maia Cotton, Max Key, Jerome Kaino and Maria Tutaia. The exclusive event took place at the H&M Sylvia Park store where guests were invited to shop apparel and accessories for men, women, youth and kids, including the H&M AW16 Studio and Modern Essentials selected by David Beckham collections.

On arrival, guests walked down an illuminated ten-metre red carpet before being treated to an exclusive sneak peek of the extensive H&M collections, ahead of the official public opening. Cocktails were designed especially for the event and crafted by one of New Zealand’s leading mixologists, which guests enjoyed while exploring each of the concepts.

Stylish New Zealand DJ and socialite, Gracie Taylor, created a fun, upbeat atmosphere for guests on arrival, which was then followed by a stellar DJ set by popular New Zealand music duo; Jupiter Project. The headline performance by Kings and General Lee saw guests dancing to the recent release; ‘Don’t Worry Bout It’ before Dan Aux took over the DJ reins until later in the evening.

Kiwis will get their first taste of H&M’s new shopping experience on Saturday 1st October. Hype will begin outside the store from 7.00am with entertainment and refreshments provided to eager shoppers in line. The H&M Sylvia Park doors will officially open at 10.00am after a countdown and ribbon cutting ceremony.
