Pop star Justin Bieber paused a concert in the UK this week to tell the audience that Instagram is "Hell" and "for the Devil".

The 'Baby' hitmaker was performing in London's O2 Arena when he delivered a brief sermon on the popular online photo-sharing service.

"Who thinks I should get my Instagram back?" Bieber asked the crowd, triggering cheers and screams of enthusiasm.

"Yeah... I don't wanna get my Instagram back", he continued, before his speech took a more religious turn.

The Canadian singer referred to his Christian faith frequently when he was younger. Last year, during the period in which he was trying to rebrand himself and undo a few years of bad press, Bieber attended Australian Pentecostal mega-church Hillsong's annual five-day conference.

His comments in London appear to have been made in jest, but the language is very Pentecostal in nature.

"Instagram is for the Devil. I think Hell is Instagram; I'm like 90 percent sure," Bieber stated.

"We get sent to hell and we get locked in the Instagram server. I'm stuck in the DMs. I'm trying to climb my way out and I can't."

He then laughed off the comments, saying he didn't know what he was talking about, before launching into his next song.

Bieber quit Instagram in August, abandoning the nearly 78 million followers he had amassed.
