Vietnam gives computers to Cambodian Senate

Newly appointed Vietnamese ambassador Vu Quang Minh on Tuesday gave computers and other office supplies to the Senate of Cambodia.

After meeting with Senate President Say Chhum, the ambassador brought the gifts from the Vietnamese parliament to the Cambodian Senate, which comprised of 60 desktop computers, 30 laptops, 60 printers and eight photocopying machines worth a total of three billion Vietnamese Dong, or about $132,000.

On Monday, the ambassador also met with National Assembly President Heng Samrin and both sides pledged to boost ties in a bid to improve the livelihoods of people living along the borders of both countries.

The ambassador has also paid a courtesy call on King Norodom Sihamoni and had a meeting with Prime Minister Hun Sen.
