February 12 (SeeNews) - Croatia's biggest telecommunications operator, Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A], said on Monday it holds 283,797 of its own shares, representing 0.346565% of the issued share capital, following the launch of a share buyback programme in July.
On February 8, HT acquired 234 own shares at 164.0 kuna ($27.0/22.0 euro) apiece, while a day later it purchased 119 shares at 164.9748 kuna apiece, the company said in a filing with the Zagreb Stock Exchange.

Prior to launching the share buyback programme on July 3, HT owned 2,966 treasury shares.
HT's share capital of 9.8 billion kuna is divided into 81,888,535 shares without nominal value.
The telco aims to purchase up to 2,500,000 of its own shares by April 20, 2021 under the share buyback programme. Hrvatski Telekom will spend up to 500 million kuna under the programme.
Hrvatski Telekom serves 1.0 million fixed lines, 2.2 million mobile subscribers, and 763,000 broadband connections.
