Matthew Ockleston a finalist for Client Choice Award

Matthew Ockleston a finalist for Australian Financial Review Client Choice Award

Matthew Ockleston, Kensington Swan’s Auckland Managing Partner and Property expert, has been announced as a finalist for a prestigious Australian Financial Review 2018 Client Choice Award. Matthew is just one of three finalists (and the only New Zealander) for the Most Client-Focused Lawyer award.

Candidates for the awards are nominated by clients in recognition of their individual performance, based on criteria including the quality, value for money, and innovation of their service delivery.

The awards are voted on by clients who rate individuals on their market-leading ability to add real value to clients’ businesses. To win, nominees must achieve consistently higher ratings than their competitors and peers. Feedback for the awards is independently collected by Beaton, a leading research and consulting firm.

Matthew plays a significant role in Kensington Swan’s specialist Property team. With over 16 years’ experience, he is a recognised specialist in the Public Works Act and is uniquely positioned to advise government agencies on property issues associated with large infrastructure projects, in particular roading. He has acted on almost every major State Highway project in the North Island since 2004, including the Waterview Connection, Wellington Northern Corridor, Waikato Expressway and the $3.4 billion Auckland City Rail Link.

Matthew said, “Being a finalist for in the AFR Client Choice Awards is tangible recognition of Kensington Swan’s commitment to creating an unbeatable client service. Clients are the centre of everything we do and the significance of this award proves that we are exceeding their expectations.”

“It is fantastic that Matthew is a finalist for such a prestigious award, as the results are based on direct feedback from our clients,” said Charles Spillane, CEO. “To be a finalist is an honour and a reflection of the excellent work produced by our talented lawyers.”

The winners will be announced by Client Choice on Wednesday 14 March, 2018.
