KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 28) -- Malaysian infrastructure and engineering company Muhibbah Engineering (M) said Wednesday its fourth quarter net profit rose 12.7% year-on-year partly helped by higher share of profit from associates and joint venture, as well as lower taxes.
Net profit for the three months ended Dec. 31 was 36.51 million ringgit ($9.30 million) versus 32.37 million ringgit a year ago, the company said in an exchange filing. Quarterly revenue slumped 52.5% to 306.50 million ringgit against 645.59 million ringgit a year earlier.
