Finance tech sector software pioneer supports award winning NZ CIO’s and CFO’s

AUCKLAND, 15 MARCH 2018 – Leading enterprise software provider, TechnologyOne (ASX:TNE), with a 31-year history of supporting CIO’s and CFO’s with financial software has confirmed its support for innovation in New Zealand’s technology industry, by sponsoring the 2018 Financial Innovation Project of the Year award at today’s CFO Awards.

The sponsorship is part of a three-year agreement the leading software vendor signed with Conferenz and IDC New Zealand in 2015.

TechnologyOne CEO Edward Chung said TechnologyOne was excited to again be sponsoring New Zealand’s most prestigious awards for CIO’s and CFO’s.

“We have been supporting CIO’s and CFO’s with our innovative financial software for more than 30 years,” Mr Chung said.

“As an organisation that focuses on using technology as a competitive advantage and building enterprise software which is incredibly simple to use, sponsoring this award is a natural fit for TechnologyOne.

“Our continuing support of the CIO and CFO Summit and Awards reinforces TechnologyOne’s ongoing commitment to New Zealand’s IT sector,” he said.

TechnologyOne has operated in New Zealand since 2000, after signing its first local customer in 1992. It has offices in Auckland and Wellington, and more than 100 New Zealand customers including New Plymouth District Council, MainPower and Land Information New Zealand (LINZ).

"The CIO Awards celebrate excellence in leadership and business innovation among the New Zealand CIO community. TechnologyOne shares the same values and their support is a great win for the CIO Summit and Awards,’’ says Peter Wise, Country Manager, IDC New Zealand.

The 2018 CFO Summit and Awards take place today at Cordis Auckland, with Air New Zealand, New Zealand National Fieldays Society and Watercare shortlisted as finalists for TechnologyOne’s Financial Innovation Project of the Year award. The CIO Summit and Awards will be held on 13 - 14 June in Auckland.
